About Us

Ban Suk in Korean means bedrock. In “Matthew 16:18, Jesus tells Peter …And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”

A building built on anything less solid than bedrock is susceptible to destruction when modest winds and rains come upon it. However, if a building has bedrock for a foundation, the storms may come and the winds may blow, but the integrity and structure of the building will remain intact. We strive to build upon our church foundation of bedrock which is Jesus Christ; not our skills, not our talents, not our understanding, not our good fortune, but on the Word of God.

Our church began with the Korean-speaking ministry in the late 1970’s in Elmhurst, New York in Queens County. At the turn of the millennium into the 21st Century, our community began the replanting in Nassau County, Old Westbury in preparation for the future of our community and its role in spreading the Gospel. After many physical as well as financial sacrifices, our community was able to successfully build our new home and begin the next phase of our work in building the Kingdom of God.

With brand new facilities and a growing community we are well positioned to continue partnering with Christ to bring His Good News to the world.
